As Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner at Cassaday & Company, Inc., Allison Felix (MBA) is responsible for scaling the firm’s operations, and helping achieve its strategic vision.
Since joining Cassaday & Company, Inc. in 2001, Allison has been instrumental in mentoring and expanding the firm’s management & leadership teams, executing the addition of several key service offerings, and launching the firm’s Client Advisory Board.
Allison earned her MBA from George Mason University in 2011 and subsequently was promoted to the role of Cassaday & Company’s Chief Operating Officer position.
In 2016, Allison founded the Northern Virginia (NOVA) Women’s COO Forum, as a place for local operations leaders, regardless of industry, to come together to discuss challenges, share experiences, and discuss resources with others who share the same role and level of responsibility.
Since 2022, Allison has served as a volunteer on the Board of the Radford University Foundation, a nonprofit established to advance and further the aims and purpose of Radford University, through raising, investing, and administering private gift funds, including endowments, for the benefit of the university. Allison was asked to serve on the Board’s Executive Committee in 2024.

Scott graduated from Bridgewater College in 1997 with a BA-Business Administration with a specialty in Finance. He built an extensive practice with MassMutual over the last 16 years while also obtaining FINRA series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses. Scott is the managing partner of Van Pelt and Associates.
Scott grew up in Harrisonburg, VA, establishing core family values, character and southern charm on a dairy farm with his mother and father. He currently resides in Bluemont, VA with his wife Heather, instilling those same qualities in his children Allison and Clayton on their 50-acre horse farm. Scott enjoys being outdoors as often as possible and is perpetually building something.
An avid runner who has completed six marathons, Kelly Campbell knows commitment. He built Campbell Wealth Management with just himself and one administrative assistant managing 6 million dollars to the current team of 35 professionals and over $1.3 billion of advisory and brokerage assets. Kelly graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Finance. A continuous student, he has achieved the following designations: Certified Financial Planner™ Chartered Financial Consultant™, Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor™, and Accredited Investment Fiduciary™.
Kelly has been in business for over thirty years. Nearly twenty-one years ago, the company began focusing specifically on retirement planning, restricting its clientele to those aged fifty-five and above. In turn, the name Campbell Wealth Management has become synonymous with retirement planning in the Washington Metro area.
A sought-after authority on everything retirement, Kelly has been quoted and/or has contributed to Fox Business, TheStreet.com, CNBC, The Washington Post, and World Report. This year Kelly Campbell was ranked #7 in Northern Virginia on the Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor list. He was also recognized as a Barron’s Top 1200 Advisor at spot #8 in Virginia.
Kelly has always said, “A successful retirement comes from proper planning.” His trademarked program, Right on Retirement™ (ROR), is Kelly’s five-step process that he and his team walk their clients through to work towards their long-term retirement goals. The five steps include: Income planning, Tax Planning, Risk Management, Investment Management and Legacy/Estate Planning.
When he is not helping his clients, Kelly focuses on his passions of healthy eating, exercising, polo, boating, water, and snow skiing as well as spending time with his wife and three children.
Anirban Basu is the Chairman and CEO of Sage Policy Group, Inc., an economic and policy consulting firm headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland with an office in Orlando, Florida. The firm provides strategic analytical services to energy suppliers, law firms, medical systems, government agencies, and real estate developers among others.
In 2014, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan appointed him Chair of the Maryland Economic Development Commission (2014-2021). He serves as Chairman of the Baltimore County Economic Advisory Committee. He also serves the chief economist function for Associated Builders and Contractors, the Construction Financial Management Association, the Modular Building Institute, the Maryland Bankers Association, the International Food Distributors Association, and several others.
He has taught at several universities, most frequently at Johns Hopkins University. He currently teaches History of Economic Thought at Goucher College as their Distinguished Economist in Residence.
In 2007, 2016, and 2022, the Daily Record newspaper selected Dr. Basu as one of Maryland’s 50 most influential people. The Baltimore Business Journal named him one of the region’s 20 most powerful business leaders in 2010.
Dr. Basu is currently on the boards of the University of Maryland School of Law, St. Mary’s College, the University of Maryland Medical Center, the University System of Maryland Foundation, the Lyric Opera House, and the Center Club. He is also on Truist Bank’s advisory board.
Dr. Basu earned his B.S. in Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He earned his Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and his Master’s in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. He acquired his Juris Doctor at the University of Maryland School of Law. He completed his doctoral work at UMBC with a concentration in health economics.
Diane Boyle joined the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors family in April of 1991 and serves as the association’s chief federal lobbyist. Her responsibilities include the development and implementation of legislative and regulatory strategy, and daily execution of association activities to provide advocacy services for professional insurance and financial advisors in order to support a private, competitive insurance marketplace. Prior to expansion of health services to all NAIFA members in January 2010, Boyle served as the executive vice president for the Association of Health Insurance Advisors, the former health conference of NAIFA.
Brett has developed a reputation as a hard-working and connected lobbyist who delivers results for his clients. He is known for being very well prepared and having a deep subject matter expertise of the issues, no matter the complexity.
Over the years, Brett has successfully represented clients in a wide array of matters including insurance (all lines), healthcare, energy, information technology, automotive manufacturing, budget, and gaming.
Some of the clients he has represented include AFLAC, MetLife, Independent Insurance Agents of Maryland, The National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA-MD), NRG, Brookfield Renewable, The National Football League, Easton Utility Commission, Health Distribution Alliance, The Cigar Association of America, and Boyd Gaming
As a native of Maryland, Brett maintains strong relationships with key decision makers at the state, county, and local levels from both sides of the aisle. He started his career in Annapolis as the Director of Government Affairs at the Maryland Insurance Administration. He then started his own government affairs consulting firm before joining a major law firm where he became partner and Chair of the Business Practice Group with his practice focusing on government affairs and insurance regulatory matters. Prior to joining Kress Hammen Government Affairs, Brett worked at a corporate boutique firm and its government affairs entity.
Brett graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He has two amazing children and resides in Annapolis.
Andrew Holt is the Government Relations and Grassroots Manager at the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). NAIFA works on behalf of its members to promote a favorable regulative environment, provide professional education services, and ensure ethical professional conduct for insurance and financial advisors.
Andrew spent several years of his career in the political arena, getting his start as an intern for a senate race in South Carolina, where he found his passion for connecting voters with elected officials. This eventually led to his current position at NAIFA, where he influences public and elected officials on legislative priorities, engages volunteers in grassroots efforts, and leads grassroots lobbying efforts at the state level.
