C. Sherfy Jones, CLU, ChFC, JD passed away on May 2, 2022 at the age of 90. Sherfy was a special leader in our profession and our organization- an unwitting mentor to many, admired, respected and loved by those who were fortunate to get to know him. Sherfy will be missed.

Sherfy was an active member of NAIFA-Greater Washington D.C. and President of the DC Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals in 1982, for which he played important roles on the national level. Sherfy was also an active member of the Helping Hands Society of Greater Washington D.C. and attended NAIFA-GWDC's Legacy Luncheon many times. He was the 1987 recipient of the Bernard L. Wilner Award. One of Sherfy's proudest moments was seeing the Legacy Award presented to his son, Kevin, last September.
